Who am I? Arjun Apparao Jadhav

 

Hello Sir,

I am Arjun Apparao Jadhav, a young entrepreneur who comes from a simple farmer’s family in Maharashtra. In today’s digital era, mobile phones are no longer limited to adults. They have now reached the hands of children in almost every household. It is very common to see two or three smartphones in a single home. But along with these glowing screens, a silent crisis is also growing rapidly, and that is mobile addiction among children.

Today, many children spend hours lost in reels, games, and meaningless content. Scrolling has slowly replaced their imagination. Conversations are decreasing, concentration is weakening, and even their sleep is being affected. I was witnessing all of this around me every single day. At that moment, one question kept disturbing my mind: “Is it really possible to completely keep children away from mobile phones today?” And the answer was “No.”

Then I thought, if mobile phones cannot be removed from children’s lives, can we at least create a positive alternative within the same device?

That thought became the beginning of “GetExtra.”

[GetExtra.in](https://www.getextra.in) is not just an audio story application. It is an effort to revive the imagination that is slowly fading away in the digital world. My vision is that children should not only stare at screens, but also listen, think, imagine, and learn. With this purpose, I chose the path of audio stories and audio entertainment.

During our childhood, the stories told by our grandparents carried values, inspiration, history, and warmth that taught us life lessons. Today, my effort is to bring that same tradition into every home through modern technology. GetExtra provides audio content based on history, inspirational personalities, mythology, self-development, and value-based storytelling.

I strongly believe that in the coming years, “audio content” will become one of the most positive forms of digital engagement for children. Audio keeps children away from excessive screen exposure, enhances their imagination, and at the same time entertains them in a meaningful way.

Since I come from a rural background, I have personally understood how the right use of technology can create a powerful social impact. That is why I do not want GetExtra to remain just a startup. I want it to become a positive movement for the digital generation.

Today, many people are trying to move ahead in the crowded world of social media. But I believe the real change is the one that transforms the thinking of the next generation.
